To my knowledge, none of the James M. HARRIS and Martha RAY clan went as far south as Brownsville in Texas. The work of another family historian states that after James died, in route to TX., Martha continued on, traveling with their children and brothers and sisters. I do not know for sure whose siblings they were. Could be some of both. I have James as born in Greene Co., GA., Martha born in Lincoln Co., GA.. Their marriage was in Muscogee Co., GA. and children born in Stewart Co., GA. Martha brought the family to Fayette Co.,Tx. to the Muldoon area. There is even a Harris Family Cemetery where there are a good number of folks buried and is private property in a rural area. This area is in South Central Texas between Smithville in Bastrop Co. and LaGrange in Fayette, Co. Lets see if we can put this all together and watch our tree grow.
