Kitty, The only REDD I carry, not family that I know of, is that of a James Kelso REDD born 1803 who married Mary Elizabeth LEWIS born 1813 in Troup County, GA. Their daughter, Mary Lewis REDD (1837-1867) born in Troup County, GA married Calvin Evans JOHNSTON (1827-1901) of Madison, Morgan County, Ga in 1854. They lived in Columbus, Muscogee County, GA and are buried in Linwood Cemetery, there. Notice the KELSO connection to this REDD family..... Calvin was the son of Lancelot JOHNSTON, Esq. II (1790-1866) and a Margaret JONES of "Snow Hill" in Madison, Morgan County, GA. Lancelot JOHNSTON fits the profile of the KELSOS, who we know were tied to a DANIEL family of Greene County, GA - the Kelso, Cunningham, Daniel bunch out of PE County, VA. Calvin's sister, Elizabeth JOHNSTON (ABT 1825-BEF 1868) married Antoine POULLAIN II (1815-1900) of Lexington, Oglethorpe County, GA. Antoine also married Rebecca Louise LAMAR in 1868, the daughter of George Washington LAMAR and Sarah Walker HARKOW. These POULLAINS lived in Madison, Morgan County, GA. Any family tied to the POULLAINS, I am always interested in. Lancelot JOHNSTON was not "po" by any shape of one's imagination. This is a high-stepping family that only ties into the best of families, as were the POULLAINS. I do not think all of the information we see often listed for this Kelso-Cunningham-Daniel bunch in Greene County, GA is completely accurate. It's close, but no cigar. It would appear, they are missing some vital connections and may have others convoluted and commingled with other DANIELS of Greene County, GA. I think the Charles DANIELL (1773-1800) of Greene County, GA is probably a part of this Kelso, Cunningham, Daniel bunch of Greene County, GA. Matches their profile, married a COFFEE who we know are tied to this KCD bunch and generally fits in this family better than any other DANIEL family in Greene County, GA. .
