RE: "All property to be kept together for the maintenance and education of my children until they become of age. Appoint wife Polly Towns, Friends Marlin Towns and David Hardwick Executors of my estate. Wit.: Richard Smith, David Crawford and Thomas Crawford Jr., Recorded 2 January 1810. Henry Carleton Jr. C.C.O" Hi, This post really caught my attention, especially a HARDWICK and a Thomas CRAWFORD in the same will. I do not have David HARDWICK but I have Mary "Mollie" HARDWICK (b. ABT 1763) who married Rene FITZPATRICK RS-VA, brother of Capt. Benjamin FITZPATRICK of Greene County, GA and anyone around this FITZPATRICK bunch, I am really interested in. I am also starting to think Thomas CRAWFORD, Jr. of Greene County, GA, mentioned in this will, is the Thomas who married Martha COLEMAN and he may be the son of a Thomas CRAWFORD of Edgecombe (now Halifax) County, NC who married an ALSTON girl and if so, I am really interested...... That Henry CARLTON, Jr. listed as the clerk on this will, also interests me. If this Henry, Jr. was a son of the Henry CARLTON of SC who married a Lucy and were the parents of Lucy Ann CARLTON (b. ABT 1784, SC-1870, Troup County, GA) who married John Harris PONDER, Sr.(1786-1864) of Morgan County, GA, then this really, really interests me........ John R.
