My ancestor was Solomon Ray who married Jane echols in 1796 in Wilkes co Ga. I am trying to find who her parents were. Lewis hammock signed as surety on Solomon Ray and Jane echo's marriage license. the Hammocks and the Rays lived very close to each other in the 1790's in Wilkes co Ga. I have searched for an Echols-Hammock/Hammack connection in Ga but have not been able to find one. Could you tell me more about your Hammack-Echols connection since the Rays and the Hammocks were close? Thanks,Ross
