    3. Hi, Most of what you state matches my information. However, how did you come up with the Hector as James RALLS's middle name? I have HUNTER and I assume the HUNTERS and the RALLS ran together, so it made sense, but I do not know what his middle name actually was. Also, where do you place the RALLS and COLEMANS before Warren County, NC. I have to think Amherst County, VA plays some part in all of this. Of greater interest to me is the DANIEL connection to this HUNTER, RALLS, COLEMAN bunch since Charles W. RICHTER's (1837-1907) younger brother, John C. (1848-1907) married Alice E. DANIEL and Charles married Mary Lou HUNTER, a DANIEL descendant. When I start seeing the same name families in parents of siblings, I tend to think "they were probably out of the same family." Now, I know who Alice's DANIEL family was and who they were related to, DNA wise. Alice's DANIEL family was out of Greene County, NC and her grandparents were Robert C. DANIEL (ABT 1765-AFT 1830) and Penelope LANE (1773-1846) of Burke County, GA.. I also know her DANIEL family are 25/25 marker DNA matches with the descendants of Capt. James DANIEL (1709-1761) and Jane HICKS of Albemarle County, VA. James and Jane's descendants moved to Granville County, NC. These included both Chesley, Josiah and James DANIEL of Granville County, NC. However, I cannot find the link between Greene and Granville County, NC and these to locations were not "just next door to each other." You also missed this. Cynthia Ann COLEMAN (1797-1869) married twice. First to James Hunter RALLS and second to Vincent SANFORD (1777-1859) They had a son, Seadman Vincent SANFORD who was, later, the Dean at UGA. I know Charles was offered the head of the mathematics department at UGA but did not want to move to Athens because of his disability. Charles was a well-known professor of mathematics at various GA colleges in the late 19th Century but he had been permanently disabled at Gettysburg on 2 Jul 1863 while in the 3rd GA. So, rolling up and down the hills of Athens in a wheelchair was not one of Charles's greatest ambitions or priorities. I assume you know what I mean, so he did not take the position at UGA and stayed in Atlanta at Cox College. BTW, Charles was my grand uncle and John and Alice my grandparents. John R.
