I descend from Russell Tally through his son James B. Tally (b. ca. 1800 Green Co, GA; d. After 1865 Pike Co., AL) and wife Nancy Ann Copeland (b. 1799 Green Co, GA; d. 1861 Dekalb Co, GA) . I have six children for Russell Tally and Elizabeth Credille (Creedle) as follows: Rev. Joseph T.; William; Elizabeth; James B.; John W. & Mark Russell Tally. I have no absolute documentation for the ancestor's of Russell Tally---only internet sources. As follows: Parents: Joseph Tally & Jane Russell; grandparents: William W. Tally & Rachel Grief; g grandparents: John Tally, Sr. & Anne---; gg grandparents: William Tally & Mary ---. I need to find names of parents of Elizabeth Credille (Creedle) who married Russell Tally and Nancy Ann Copeland who married James B. Tally. I found references these families in Green Co, GA in the early 1800's. The name was spelled Tally without the "e." My family started spelling it "Talley" a couple of generations ago.
