(Monroe Co?) & Elizabeth Ragan The Grandchild of Nathaniel Broughton & Mary Ravenel & William Ragan & Lucy of Sumter Co SC he Great-Grandchild of Nathaniel Broughton & Henretta C Lisle GG of Thomas Broughton & Anne Johnson John Immigrated to Greene Co. Ga. 1802-6. The story goes that they were on their way in a wagon train to Monroe Co.NC and several of them, including John Henry, his nephews Joshua and Edward Cannon, and I think another brother, stopped off at Greene. It IS just a story to date. My Notes on JOhn Henry: 1813 John H. Broughton witnessed the will of Thomas Daniel\ 1830 Census John H 300 Greene Co. Ga. 1831 he was involved in a law suit over the will of Robert Wright Sr. 1850 Census John H 127 161st Div. Greene Co. Ga. Also Ann America Broughton listed as daughter in will of Abram Perkins, Peggy Broughton listed as daughter in will of Robert Wright. He had the Following children- and I do not know which wife had each on some--(Mary Jerdine, Sarah Dye & Margaret P. Wright) Mary had Ann, Mary, Elizabeth Others Caroline,Letitia,Jeanette,Epsey,John Thomas, Virginia, Lorena, Jacob Laurentine John Henry's sister Jemima married first John Cannon and had Sara 1794, Edward a 1794, Joshua 10 Jun 1795, Flora a 1804, Nathaniel of Monroe Co.
