(Family Puzzlers) We have them here in Albany, bound by year- and a couple of others-THEY WERE THERE by Betty (can't remember last name, but GOOD County records-early. She was from here in Albany.(I donated all my family puzzlers as did several others, and from this they got the sets and bound them. Really great little things-just about all Ga. queeries.) I am glad the Univ. of Ga library is doing something different. I found their file drawers-years ago, when I was there-only one little set of family folders. The books on the shelf, not in the order I was used to-by county, but probably ISBN- hard to find. All over the place with other books. I know-the card catalog file-but that too, I found cumbersome for the scattered research I had laid out for myself. I used the special collection in the room they locked in, only because I knew my Lamar's were in there. I had really expected something very different. (Maybe like the Chattanooga Tn. library- or Washington Memorial in Macon Ga. Wonderful, Wonderful places for Genealogist) I know the Univ. of Ga has on film, the newspaper project, and have gotten it some on interlibrary loan. That's a GREAT thing. They took on filming old newspapers where ever they heard of them, for the rest of you. I notified them many years ago about the Randolph County ones-at that time in the court house of all places. And they later filmed them. Originals in Dawson's (Terrell) were at the library, and they filmed them (Terrell Co Ga) Someone in even later years did a book series on Terrell's. (Another great set of books is the several years ago series on Local Militia 1860 something-which gives the age-even to month, and vocation of everyone available in town) ----- Original Message ----- From: <Graylwolfe@aol.com> To: <GAGREENE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 17, 2005 9:11 PM Subject: [Greene] Re: "Family Puzzlers" > All original records for the "Family Puzzlers" by Mary B.
