Jean BLEWITT b: 22 Oct 1756, Blewett Falls, Anson Co., NC., d: 12 Mar 1817,, Greene Co., GA., USA [not confimed location] buried: NOT at same location she was daughter of William Blewett, Sr. (capt) and Sarah Garton ************* It was first thoguht he was an imagrant from England but it is now thought he was born in the US but tavled to England to sell furs. For four years he lived with Cherokee Indians in what is now Habersham County, Georgia. Then wandered on foot about Europe for eighteen months. Then returned to America landing in Charleston. \David Ovid Love was in the Continental Army. He was a Liet. Colonel appointed by Provincial Congress in 1776. Member of Provincial Congress in 1776 Anson County, North Carolina. • Moved: From North Carolina to Georgia, 1783-1786. Will: dated, 29 Nov 1798. Proved in Greene County, Georgia have a good bit more information on him, would be glad to share. we are looking for his parents.

    3. Hi Dave, Have information on a William BLEWETT born December 20, 1706 in Gwinear, Cornwall. Went to the colonies as a child or teenager. Married, 1st Sarah GARTON, 2nd ? WHITE, 3rd Elizabeth MORRIS. Ended up in Anson County, North Carolina. Have some documentation from his will and other information. Let me know if he sounds like your William.
