    1. [Greene] FLUKER NEIGHBORS TO DURHAM REYNOLDS BOWLES (BOOLES) LINDSEY

    3. The FLUKERS that I know about lived in that portion of Greene County, Georgia, roughly in the 137th and 138th Georgia Militia Districts in the northeastern portion of Greene County between what became Woodville and Bethesda Church. One of the GMD's was called Fluker's at one time. It might still be called Fluker's. Can't put my hands on my Greene County maps right now. The Flukers do not appear in the minutes of Bethesda Baptist Church from 1817 to 1865 which I published. Neither did they have any slaves who were members of this church. The Flukers were either unchurched or attended elsewhere. I still have some copies of the church minute book I did for sale if anyone is interested. My mother was a Durham from Greene County, Georgia. I am researching as double lines in that area the Durhams, Reynolds, Bowles (Booles), and Lindseys who lived in that same area. After 34 years of serious research I have not found any marriages between the Flukers and any of the families I am researching. However, my ancestors and the Flukers were long standing neighbors for several generations. My maternal grandparents owned part of the Fluker land and some of my Durham cousins still own part of the Fluker land in that area. The Fluker family name has disappeared from the area. There is also at least one Fluker Cemetery with marked graves and one that is back in the woods with no markers on property my cousins own. There is a marker for it on the county map, but it does not have a name and is not in Armor's Cemetery book. Hope this helps someone.
