There are many other Park surnames living nearby: some white, some mulatto, and some black. Any clue who is connected to whom? Might some of these Park folks be siblings to my great-grandfather? Which ones?! I found no trace of Fed and children in the 1870 GA census. Any chance they might have been overlooked? At some point my grandfather Edmond moved to Madison GA as did some of his sibs. By then he had changed his surname to Parks. Can you shed some light? Help me with this mystery? Thanks. For some reason, unknown to me, the filming of the 1870 Census of Greene County Georgia was truncated before all pages of the original census were photographed. Many of my relatives, who appear in both the 1860 and 1880 censuses, are omitted from the 1870 microfilm. The last page photographed is page 464A. An inspection of that page will make it obvious that it was not the last page of the census. Perhaps the National Archives could explain the omissions. -- Jeff Milner Crawfordville, GA [email protected]
