    3. Candy, thank you very much. Right now I have a posting out on the 1830 Greene Census to see if I can possibly place her in one of the Baldwin households, as I have no clue who her family is. 1. 1830 Census Look-up
    2. Doc Jones
    3. Is there anyone out there who can look-up the name Baldwin in the 1830 Greene County Census?? I am trying to find out which family Rebecca Baldwin belongs to and all I know about her is that she married in 1832. So my guess at this point, is that she would have been somewhere around 16-17 years old at the time of the census..... Baldwin is listed in the 1830 Census Index as being on page 283-287 and 296 and I would be interested in learning which family had a female that would fit into the age pattern of Rebecca. Any help or input will be greatly appreciated.... docjones, Melbourne FL cjones5@cfl.rr.com

    3. Glenna, Thanks so much for the look. This man has been impossible. His name is in the marriage notification as being from Hamburg, SC and his name is on her tombstone and that is the only record that I have of him. Perhaps space alien! I have not tried the Civil War records due to not finding him in any census but I guess I should give that a try. Have a feeling he died before then but who knows. Have you tried searching both counties?I did find a William Green in the 1850 census for Greenville,SC.,but, his wife's name was Nancy. I sure know what it is like to run into those darn brick walls!! It took me over 4 years to break through one of mine. If Wm. got married in 1841,and assuming this was his first marriage,he would probably be around 20 years of age. The age of the one in Greenville was 25 years old. Wm. would not show up in the early censuses unless he was the head of the household, and, that rules out the 1830 census. Another suggestion would be to see if he served in the Civil War. He may have filed for a pension,or his widow may have filed. Glenna Married on Tuesday evening last, by Rev. Acker, Wm. H.
