We have an as yet unidentified Polly Moore who James Reynolds , Sr. named as a daughter in his will written 18 May 1822, probated Jan 27, 1823, in Greene County, Georgia. She was probably b. c 1778 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Her mother was probably Susannah (Sukey) Malone, dau. of Daniel Malone. Not sure if Polly came with the family to Oglethorpe County, Georgia, about 1797 from Halifax County, Virginia; if she remained in Virginia or dropped off somewhere along the way. She apparently d. after the 1822-23 will of her father, place unknown. Have never, even after 34 years of research, identified her other than the reference to her in the will and passed down birth date through a family branch of Reynolds that moved through Alabama to Arkansas. Any assistance on further information on Polly Reynolds Moore would be appreciated. They had about 13 children, and the oldest son was my g-grandfather, William Thomas Morris. He was named for his maternal uncle, William Thomas Andrews. I am certainly interested in Matthew's parents, and it is interesting to note that they came from the Rocky Mount, NC area, where many of my father's ancestors came from also. Thank you for any info that you may send. You may contact me at [email protected] Hope to hear from you soon. Happy hunting! Scottie

My great-grandfather moved to Burke County around 1880 or so, and it appears that most of the rest of the Morrises and Andrews also left Siloam and Greene County. Thanks in advance for any info that you may have. Yours in kinship, Scottie Scott
