He was born 1750 and died in White Plains 1814. He was married to Elizabeth Ashfield who died in White Plains after 1830. I show that John Johnson was buried at White Plains Baptist. They had a daughter Susannah Ashfield Johnson who was born in White Plains in 1778. John Johnson served in the Revolutionary War and his widow received land in the land lottery.

He married Martha RAY on Nov. 18,1841 in Muscogee Co., GA. She was b.July 9, 1819 in Lincoln Co. GA. and died Aug. 7,1898 in Fayette Co. TX. He died in route to Texas with his wife, Martha, and 4 children: Larcena "Sis" Laura, William, Robert and Emma (Emily). They were traviling with her brothers and sisters. He is thought to have been buried in or near Montgomery, AL. Her father was Wilson RAY who was known to be in Fayette Co., TX. in 1857. At least one of the children was born in Stewart Co., GA. She and many other family members are buried in The Harris Family Cemetery on private property in Fayette CO., TX. All information is welcome. I have info on these lines from the dates shown forward. I believe my William HOLT(1849) and relatives in Greene County, GA were Methodist...His POSSIBLE father(?), James HOLT, is recorded as having performed several marriages in Greene co. between 1807 and 1819. A James HOLT is also listed as a Justice of the Peace from 1799-1829. William and James were listed as Witnesses for a deed on 14 Nov 1808(Deed Bk CC, p.131, Zachariah Bird to John Osling, 53 1/2 acres in Greene County[GA]) I would like to search any Church records for these dates..
