Surnames: TOOKE,WALL,WALLS,MCBRIDE,HARVELL,SMITH Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ic.2ADI/1242 Message Board Post: Searching for information on ancestry and identification of Sarah -----. SHe was born ca 1 Apr 1792, in Hancock Co., (which would have been Greene Co then). She married first to William Tooke (son of John and Mary Burt Tooke) ca 1810-1812. They had children: William S (aka W.S. Tooke) and Joseph E. (who married Frances Tooke, 1836, Pulaski Co., GA). I estimate William Tooke who married Sarah must have died ca 1821-2. She married Jesse Wall/Walls 1823, possibly Bibb Co., GA., and had children: male (died young?), Mary Ann (married William J. McBride), Jesse (married Susan Harvell), Jane (married Shadrack Smith), Caroline and George W.P. Sarah and Jesse moved to Muscogee CO., GA pre 1830 I believe. Who is she? Thanks

But, the family record that I have only mentioned Elizabeth (Edmundson) Garlington and her husband Thomas Crawley Garlington. I also have that they were shown in the 1850 Census, Chambers Co. AL. in the 19th district. I also have a record that shows when Thomas' father, Joseph died and his mother, Nancy H. High died their estate was divided between the children. Thomas received Gus (a negro). The worth of this man is stated to be $875.00 And he also purchased Pat for $1205.00 I also show that Thomas and Elizabeth had 5 children. If there is anything more that I may be able to add please contact me. As you can tell, I am on the Garlington side of the family. Thanks, Leisa

    2. Nancy Strawder Bruce
    3. Do either of you, or anyone, know if he (Drury) had a daughter or sister named Polly who married William Stroder/Shroder May 28, 1808 in Warren Co GA. William Shroder has been listed in most of the older transcripts as William HADDEN. Do either of your have any connections to Goynes in Warren Co., previously in Wilkes Co? The people who lived in tax district where Isabel Shroder (Isabella Schroeder, land granted to Ezbell Stroder) were in Greene Co in later years and then some in Taliaferro Co when Taliaferro was created in 1825 (just in case you're wondering what this has to do with Greene Co :) Others neighboring Isabel Stroder were: Henry Thompson, Edmund Daniel, George Rutledge, Mr. Harper, Jonathan Woodall. They were there as early as 1785. Isabel died in 1792 and I begin to lose track of these people. I am hoping that the William Stroder/Shroder who married Polly King is the same as Isabel's son William. Thanks...
