Lois, With what sources I have at home, this is what I found: 1860 Gilmer Co., GA census June 5, 1860 Line 10 65-65 Martin Ross 50 M Blacksmith 100/800 NC No Artaminca Ross 49 F NC Amanda M. 22 F School NC Fanny M. 20 F GA Artaminca 18 F GA Thomas Sorrels 11 M School GA David Sorrels 9 M School GA This family on the 1850 census also had Cintha M., Dice C., a Margaret A. appears as a 12y old, if you transpose the name Amanda Margaret?? There is a story on Martin and it says his widow lived with an unmarried daughter in 1881 (p. 299, Annals of Upper GA). There is no Cloninger family in Gilmer in 1850 census. 1860 cont'd: Line 16 983-862 Michael Teague 53 M Farmer NC Sarah Teague 48 F GA Decator 18 M Farmhand NC Robert 15 M NC Mary E. 13 F NC Ambers L. 5 M #700/700 GA #as written Two families away from the Teague's is George Cloninger and family. I have checked the Union Co., and Fannin Co., Ga marriage records and could not find your mysterious Arlunecy Adaline Logan. My only question is, have you checked the Civil War records?? I agree that Artimincy Ross Teague married Cloninger, but don't know about surity of Logan...........Pat Lois W. Hi, Thank you so much for making my day! The recent discovery of my great-great-grandmother's family is quite by accident. All I need is a marriage record of George & Arty in Gilmer County. Your effort to help me is very much appreciated.
