SHEPARD: Amos Shepard b. SC came to Gilmer in 1838. Sons include Alfred, John, Benjamin, Zemory and Memory (twins), Thomas, Lafayette. RAY: Robert Ray and wife Mary Bramlett were in Gilmer by 1840 via Habersham Co. Sons include John R., Enoch, Henry, Newton. In Talona area. BRAMLETT: Henry Bramlett (brother of above Mary) b.
