Hi, There is a hugh population of Hayes/Hays and Miller families in Hancock Co. Tenn. It may seem a distance from Gilmer Co, Ga, however my Hayes line lived in Pickens/Pendleton Co., SC in late 1700's before moving into Tenn... Hancock Co, Tenn has some census years in rootsweb that you might want to view. I'm going to keep your information in cast you tie in with my Tenn families (Millers also married into my Cope line from Hancock Co) Good Luck! Hays & his wife Ollie Hannah Miller Hays moved to Gilmer & Fannin Counties from(somewhere ?) NC about 1853. I do not know who their parents or siblings are. Two of their daughters(Mary & Avaline Hays) married into the Willson N. Crawford family(married Western & Samuel Crawford) in 1871 & 1878. > > > ==== GAGILMER Mailing List ==== > Gilmer Co.
