Dear Cousins, This will be my final message to you before the reunion. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know you all through my computer & through letters. You have all been so supportive & responsive concerning this reunion which made it so rewarding for me personally. You are all a great bunch of Casts, Walkers, Humphrey's, Heatleys, etc etc etc. Even though I'm a Cast by marriage I feel as close to you all as if you were my own cousins. It is my prayer that all of you that attend the reunion arrive safely, enjoy yourself completely & make it home safely.[Please don't make anyone mad out on that highway]. I hope those of you that are unable to attend this reunion will make it to the next one in 2003. I will keep you all on my mailing list which has become quite extensive. IMPORTANT>>>>>WE NEED A HEAD COUNT. PLEASE, PLEASE, IF IT IS HUMANLY POSSIBLE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL BE AT THE REUNION. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY WE WILL BE TOTALLY PREPARED. WE NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY WILL BE THERE SO THERE WILL BE ENOUGH FOOD, DRINKS ETC. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SEND A LONG MESSAGE JUST SAY YOU WILL OR WILL NOT BE THERE. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>THANK YOU Don't forget to bring your FAMILY HISTORY TO SHARE. Your genealogy charts,[zerox copies to hand out], pictures, albums, bibles & hopefully some of us will have wonderful old family stories to tell. There will be a microphone available so you will be able to introduce yourself & your family ancestral lineage. HOW ABOUT A HOE-DOWN. Bring your musical instruments & your singing voices & we'll have a party. There will be electrical outlets. If possible, bring chairs or pallets, ice chest with drinks, anything that will make you comfortable. There will be some seating & tables already there but I'm not sure how much. Saturday will be POT LUCK. Bring a covered dish. [Don't everybody bring potato salad & Pork n Beans, giggle]If you are traveling & this would be impossible for you to do, you might bring something from a fast food restaurant or sandwich makings [which is one of my favorite foods]. Whatever is available & convenient for you. If you are unable to bring anything, please don't give it a second thought. I'm positive there will be enough to go around. For those who will be arriving on Friday the 31st of May we will have a tour of local cemeteries available. You are invited to attend the FIRST ANNUAL NATIONAL CAST / WALKER / HUMPHREY/ HEATLEY REUNION 2002 . PLEASE MARK THIS ON YOUR CALENDAR JUNE 1st & 2nd SATURDAY & SUNDAY 2002 RUSH SPRINGS, OKLAHOMA AT THE PAVILLION IN THE CITY PARK 8: AM - 5: PM EACH DAY. ALL CAST / WALKER / HUMPHREY / HEATLEY DESCENDANTS & RELATED FAMILIES ARE WELCOME & URGED TO ATTEND. There will be Doughnuts & sticky buns with plenty of hot coffee & cold milk for breakfast Saturday morning. Sunday morning there will be coffee to go with anything you might like to bring for your family & eat at the park. For Sunday lunch you're on your own. There is no charge for anything except there will be a container for donations in order to defray some of the expenses. There will be a special board to tack your mystery pictures to. If you have a picture or pictures that you would like to see if someone might identify for you then bring them along. Have you made your reservations? If not it is very important to do that as soon as possible.
