Joseph Logan appears on the 1840 Gilmer census with a son 15-19, circa1821-25 fitting Robert Logan. Etheldred Patterson, Williamson Forester, Asa Johnson and Henry Clark, John Biddie, were living near Joseph Logan. A William and Nancy Logan were witnesses Gilmer Superior Court Minutes, March 1841, State and Drud Patterson vs. James A. Johnston, other witnesses Dover, Beddy, Forister, Townsand. LL310-24-2, 24 February 1844 was purchased by Joseph B. Logan from John Sanders, witnesses S. M. Farrar, B. W. C. Clark.
