Searching for ancestors of Walter Ballew, born Apr 26, 1894 at a place unknown, died Sep., 1975 in Hot Springs, Garland Co., AR. His wife, Violet M. Sutton Ballew, born Sep 21, 1899 in Arkansas, died July 1979 in Ellijay, Gilmer Co., GA. They had at least one child, Daniel Alvin Ballew, date and place of birth unknown. Violet's death in Ellijay gives me reason to suspect that her son Daniel might have lived there at the time of her death, and that both Violet and Walter are buried in that area. Any help locating their gravesites, and descendants thru Daniel Alvin would be greatly appreciated. Jack, According to Cemetery Inscriptions of Gilmer County, Georgia, Vol. II: Walter Allen Ballew, 1894 - 1975 WWI is buried in the Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County, GA. There are other Ballews buried in various cemeteries in the county, but none of the names you mentioned. Four members of my family married into the Ballew family in the 1800's. I might have mailed you before, if so just delete, but I try to look and ask about any one that is talking about Gilmer co. Do you show any GADDIS or a Wm. Gladden that is married to a Sarah Anne Gladden in the Cemetery Book? Or any DOCKERY's in Gilmer Co. I just know some day some one will say YES, I do. Thanks so much. psueg@bellsouth.net Peggy Sue O'Shields-Gaddis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anita N.
