An interesting side note, is my ancestor Capt. Samuel Jones b. 1796 (S.C.) d. Gordon Co., GA and was buried in Gilmer Co., GA in 1870 in the family plot. Capt. Samuel Jones married Narcissa Tate and had several children including : Thomas J. Jones b. 1832 (Lumpkin Co. GA) and Margaret McClure Jones b. 1824 (Habersham Co.
