My ancestor, Thomas J. JONES, his wife Matilda MCCLURE JONES, their nine children, a daughter-in-law and one grandchild moved from Whitfield, Dalton County, GA, to Howell Twp., Johnson County, AR, in 1878. We know that Thomas and Matilda married in Gilmer County, GA, in 1848. We have found them on the 1850 in Gilmer, 1860 and 1870 in Dalton, Whitfield Co., and the 1880 in Howell Township, Johnson County, AR. They pretty much remained in the area through several generations, with my direct ancestors going to Indian Territory (now Wagoner County, Oklahoma) about 1900. Sorry I can't help with your family. I have just started a website at www.genealogyclassifieds.com and would like to see if anyone wanted to list any old genealogy books or publications here. Its free and hopefully someone may have a book of society magazine someone else needs as well as putting some of the original cost you incurred back into your own pocket for new genealogical books or publications purchases. FYI, I started this because there are a lot of out of print books I am looking for and cant find anywhere to get them. Hopefully this will help me as well as some others in the process. Brian Nichols
