Turner B: 19 Sept. 1881, possibly in Ellijay, Gilmer Co., Ga. The part that is interesting, he called himself Bob Woody. We never knew his family, were told his mother was a Turner, and he was born out of wed lock. Have been searching high and low for his parents. He married Delia Stone, whom we have been able to trace her family. We know they were married around 1900-1903, because the first of eleven children was born in Marietta Ga., 1903. My cousin has done Turner DNA, and no match. Have a picture of grandfather, and was told by a person who lives in area, he looks just like the Woody's. Know this doesn't find your William Kinsey, however, would be interested to know more about this killing, might explain why my grandfather, was given his mothers name,Turner, then later in life called himself, Woody. Just found out his possible birth place as Ellijay, first census we find him on is in Nimblewell, Lumpkin Co., he is 18, and living as a boarder with a Mary Berry, widow age 62. Also a Elijah Dempsey age 25, boarder, and Martin Wehunt age 12, boarder. Berry's and Wehunts were related thru marriages, my great grandmother was Lucyana Elizabeth Wehunt, on the Stone side. These folks knew everybody in general area, we don't. So any info anybody can add could help us both. Would like to know any Turners or Woodys, living in that general area during 1880-1900's.
