1 - require visitors to download the music file along with the page - use realplayer or crescendo - and stream the music 2 - prevent visitors from turning it off at their option - turn your speakers off 3 - conflict with other music that people may be playing via broadband connections - variety is goo 4 - wake up the entire family because it is a complete surprise - turn your speakers off 5 - force visitors to download specific software to play it - click no when asked I have music on many of my pages on my personal website and constantly get emails telling me how much it is enjoyed - and asking questions as to what CDs the songs are from, etc. I am (finally) learning flash - you can put movie scripts on your page to only play music - it is estimated 97% of all Internet users have installed Flash - so the music will play automatically without any glitches and/or streaming. The format they have come up with for the files (.SwF extension) holds the music/movie/etc but condenses it to such a small file - it is truly unbelievable! What I personally hate is midis - I feel like I am in an elevator that is stuck in purgatory.
