I have been visiting many GA county pages again today. Have come across something that is extremely irritating: music being automatically downloaded with a page with NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF !!! It's as bad as popup advertising, which I think we all will agree is a nightmare..right? Adding music to any web page is a creative design element which should be left up to the creator of the page...but there are ways to add music that DOES NOT: 1 - require visitors to download the music file along with the page 2 - prevent visitors from turning it off at their option 3 - conflict with other music that people may be playing via broadband connections 4 - wake up the entire family because it is a complete surprise 5 - force visitors to download specific software to play it Please, please consider other methods to include music on your web pages. Here's one way that is the best compromise I've found over the years that also keeps our pages up to snuff with all the latest music technology with little maintenance on our part: http://www.ancestraldesigns.com/designtips/pizzazz.html#music THANKS for listening, C.A.T.
