3. Actually for this link http://www.swggs.org/mcduffie.txt replace that with http://www.swggs.org/garecords.html which will give you a link to all georgia counties. However, I maintain that web site for the Southwest Georgia Genealogical Society and that is a list of books which are held in their Genealogical collection at the Dougherty County Public Library in Albany GA. But I would also like to make another note about libraries and societies here. Those books are listed there and as is the case with most libraries, if they are indexed or you have a page number of what you are looking for, most will mail you copies for the price of copies and postage. In this particular library the cost is .15 per page. They won't research but will check an index for specific names and mail copies. It's always best to send a written request with costs and SASE for these things but I have taken phone calls from patrons and let them know if the book contains what they wish, then mail the copy once I received the money and envelope. Southwest Georgia Genealogical Society P.O. Box 4672 Albany, Ga 31706 Library phone # 229-420-3218 One other note of interest about that library for those who may be close enough to visit is that they have over 40 internet computers and full access to Galileo which also gives full access to Ancestry.com paid databases. This is free, if you are using the internet from one of their computers. ----- Original Message ----- From: TooFem@aol.com To: GAGEN-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, March 28, 2003 8:26 PM Subject: [GAGEN] Genealogy Books, etc These are great resources for us all!
