    3. One of the things I enjoy about this list is sharing new ideas and new projects such as scanning Court Records, etc. I often review pages for other Counties to get ideas for new projects and this week discovered a real treasure trove on Virginia Crilley's Taylor County page. Maybe you all already know about the book 'MEMOIRS OF GEORGIA' , Historical and Biographical, published about 1896. This wonderful book, actually two volumns totaling about 2400 pages, contains BIOS of leaders in EVERY COUNTY in Georgia and of course, these bios are available to us to publish on our pages. Virginia already has Taylor County on line and I am working on the Haralson County bios. If you are not familiar with the book, check Galileo or your Pines library and see if you have a copy in your library. Our researchers will love this information. I plan to go back to check the "court records' for the 1800s that are also in the book. Liz Robertson Haralson County

    3. Hello everyone, Quite a while back I mentioned the Vanishing Georgia database at the GA Secretary of State Archives site. If you have linked to it, you need to change your link -- they've moved it to: http://www.sos.state.ga.us/archives/web/vg/vgsearch.asp. Some counties have more picture than others. Enjoy, Jacki Colquitt County GenWeb Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/ Administrator, RootsWeb Message Board for Colquitt County GA
