I noticed that the east central RC position is vacant. McDuffie Co is within that region so I am especially interested. I would like to apply for the position of RC for east central. I am posting this to the list since all the people who would be involved in the decision are subscribed :) I am the CC of McDuffie Co. I actually live right here in McDuffie Co which gives me a little bit of an edge over those who do not live in this area. I am able to help people easier. My personal research spans McDuffie, Wilkes, Warren, Jefferson, Columbia, Richmond and Lincoln Counties so I have quite a few ties in this area and I am well aquainted with the resources available and what is not available that needs to be! I know that I have not been the CC of McDuffie Co long but I have done a good job bringing little McDuffie Co to life in the genealogical world :) I am the long time list administrator of the WEICHERT, FEIGE, GLAENTZER email lists and the PATTON message board. Some personal info... I am a 40 year old married mom of 5 children. My job background is that of a deputy sheriff and a nurse (weird combo I know!) I currently work part time in the McDuffie County Hospital in the ER. I have been doing genealogical research for 12 years. All of my research is in the south with the exception of my mother's side which is in Germany. If there are any questions I can answer, let me know.
