    3. OK, I have been here for 13 days, and I'll probably get myself unsubbed, but I have bit my tongue long enough. I have belonged to many, many state lists over the years and I will have to say I have never seen so much hateful, disrespectful mail as I have seen on this list. Would you write the things I have seen on this list if you were writing to your grandmother? I am seeing a leadership in GA, that seems to be in denial. You can talk percentages all you want. The fact is that over 50% of the membership did take the time to vote and more than half of them want a change. USGenWeb has never had a better turnout for an election. Unless the leadership can make some changes and reach out to the 35 who want a change, you will have a continuing problem. The next time these 35 vote, it may be with their feet. Lastly, the Archives is not your enemy. The Archives is a library without reference librarians. The only folks there are unpaid shelvers putting stuff on the shelves for all to use. You are free to use the materials (by linking), but if you want to use the materials on your web sites, all you need to do is ask the person who submitted the material for permission. I would not dream of using your materials without your permission. Like it or not, the Archives has the only national search engines. When someone left home and "went west" after the Civil War, you have the option of looking in several thousand individual counties or using a national search engine. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? 3. Joy, telling the people who voted no not to remove Tim that those who voted yes might vote with their feet the next time could have been left out of your otherwise insightful message. That is not something that any of us need to have appear on the list at this point in time. You comment about how much has gone back and forth and then you put that comment in your message was not positive. But a negative remark which does not make any of us feel any better about what has been happening.
