    3. RE: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/GAGEN/2003-04/1050997573 It is possible that Debra made a typo. I'm going to assume that you did with your figures since 35 + 94 = 129, BUT there were only 128 ballots issued, with only 124 actually reaching voters. I would like additional clarification on the numbers provided by the EC. There were 73 ballots submitted, 1 rescinded, and 3 disallowed due to invalid passwords. But the ballot total is 64. Clearly a quorum wasn't reached, but it's unclear how they got from 73 ballots submitted to the vote total of 64. 3. Jacki, By my count, there were 35 "yes" votes, plus 27 "no" votes and two "present" votes. Three were disqualified. That amounts to 67 votes, plus the one who was compromised (that was my vote, BTW). I show that as being a total of 68 voters, not the 73 that were claimed. However, the EC shows a total of 64 votes, thus I must assume that the three disqualified and the compromised vote were removed from the figures prior to tabulation. There were only 128 submitted names as Tim was not allowed a vote in the matter. 128 minus 68 leaves 60, and the same number minus 64 leaves 64. Exactly one half of the eligible voters actually voted. As such, between 1 and 83 voters either wanted Tim to remain or did not care (or possibly wanted to send a message to the AB that we do not want their interference). Although I yesterday stated that it would be pointless and an exercise in futility to determine what the vote total would have been, and I continue to stand by that comment, if 38 of those who did not vote had chosen to vote against removal, the motion would have been lost. On the other hand, if half of them voted in favor, it would not have been enough as I believe that 66 votes were required for removal. I would prefer to work on my sites and work on the Guideline Revision Committee as opposed to re-hashing this. However, I understand how important the CC's are to the success of the Project (I am a CC, too, you know). As such, I am more than willing to discuss what YOU want to discuss. Your thoughts, opinions, feelings, beliefs, rants, raves, gripes, concerns or whatever are important to me. If you don't believe me, ask Derek Nichols or any of the other CC's in my area. If you don't believe me, then look at the Guidelines Revision Committee or ask any member of the committee. And, while I stood with Tim (and continue to stand with Tim and consider him to be a friend), look at the people I picked. Not a single one of them can be considered to be "yes" people. I picked people with strong opinions who were not afraid to voice their opinion. I chose veterans. I chose rookies. I chose one RC. I chose an AB member. I chose a diverse group. We are going to have fun, but we are going to be pulling our hair out, too. I will be sending a report on our activities weekly, and Jacki (our secretary) will be posting information on a web site. On a different subject, I have heard more than one person complain about being told to be seen and not heard or to sit down and shut up. No one has the right to tell you to do that. If they do, you come to ME. I will deal with that situation on the spot. We are all adults here, and we are all trying to do something nice for our fellow men. We deserve to be treated with respect and we deserve to be treated professionally. Now, I would like to get back to the business at hand. Can we all agree to do just that?
