I am one of the younger ones you refer to, yet I'm still not all that young. I work in a job where I'm dealing mostly with customers in the 10-30 year range. Some of these could be my kids. One thing I have learnt in life is that after 25 or so, the world stops being ours. We can continue to fight and insist on our ideals and goals, or we can learn to adapt to the generation that now inherits the earth. I am agreeing with Gloria says in principle. I don't let my customers swear in the store. They are to treat others with respect, or get tossed out. Yet at the same time I have had to adapt my standards in many other areas, in order to serve the clientele I wish to serve. I guess what I am saying is, treat others with the highest level of respect, but stop trying to fight the changing times, and don't call someone down because they want change or don't agree with the 'norm'. We can continue to demand obedience and become obsolete, or we can grow with the era around us. For example: Look at how much Copyright Laws have changed since GAGenWeb began. Back then much of what was done was current and correct. Now there are many outdated rules and practices still being enforced. Let's not get bogged down with what was right, and let's start accepting what is now right. And yes that means yet again next year changing yet again to stay current with public standards. By doing so, we can continue to be a viable and vibrant organization. Now, I as well will get off the soapbox.
