Linda, I am not at liberty to discuss any other member of the GAGenWeb Project with you or with anyone else, except a member of the GAGenWeb Council. It is a personnel issue and is not open for public debate, even if that member were to waive confidentiality. The AB has itself established this very precedent vis-a-vis its handling of issues involving personnel of the project, including Tim, Margie and Brenda, both of whom have welcomed the same being conducted publicly, and yet the AB refuses to do so. Moreover, inasmuch as Bettie has filed an appeal of the decision with the AB, it would not be appropriate for me to discuss these issues at this time. Finally, and I believe that I speak on behalf of the GAGenWeb Council in saying this, I am very disappointed in the EC as a whole, and the member who leaked this confidential information, in violation of the confidentiality required of EC members. However, I am not surprised by the same. As for the DBS, I generally agree with you regarding the DBS. However, I feel that that message was more an announcement than an editorial. I know that my message does not give you the information you seek, and I apologize for the same. However, I am simply not in a position to discuss this at this time. Richard, Assuming "an election committee member" violated confidentiality may be inaccurate. Perhaps the person who submitted the grievance also cc'd Teresa which is probably likely.
