I would ask the person for permission to add the materials to my site. I firmly believe that the main project county site should be the "one-stop site" for that county's digitally available material. It's a long process, but I have been actively doing permissions for some time to get ALL Wilkes County data on my site. I have yet to be denied after a nice simple request. It's amazing how many of these folks are surprised you even ask. It's like they are offended that you believe they own any rights to the material. --Keith D W Byrd wrote: >I received a message from a person who donated some civil material to one of my counties a long time ago. This is one reason that while I do post information given me to the County site, I still encourage people to post to the archives. When I give up my counties I fully intend that all of their content goes with the counties. > >Deborah Byrd > > > > >==== GAGEN Mailing List ==== >GAGenWeb By-Laws Committee Information Web Site: >http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/bylaws/ > > > > >
