I've scanned through the dozen or so emails about these lists - catching up after not being on the computer much the last day or two. As for roll-call - HERE for Spalding and Gordon Counties. (just uploaded a tombstone photo of Doc Holliday's sister on Spalding County page ( http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaspald3/martha_eleanor_holliday_tombstone.htm ) As for Chat vs business - I agree with whoever said - I spend all day and many nights and weekends in the business world - this is a hobby and I enjoy getting to know a little about the people in this little online community. Sometimes I don't have time to read all the emails and have the option to delete. I do tend to read them all - but sometimes just scan them. I also agree with whoever said - I can understand both sides of the issue and it might be helpful to be careful about the subject line for those that prefer to delete anything of a personal nature. In my own little real life world I know that business is usually done through networking and developing relationships - much more is accomplished when personal relationships are developed. I know that in this genealogy community I've gotten some very friendly help in getting my pages up and running and gathering information for the pages and for my personal research from people on this list. My personal opinion is that I'd hate to see it become so sterile that no one would feel free to voice an opinion or ask a question (my questions are very dumb sometimes and that's only been pointed out to me a couple of times from people here <g>). Ed - my husband's grandchildren really are my 'step' grandchildren - but it doesn't seem like it - they are adorable and I love them like they were my own - I REALLY am not old enough to have grandchildren (at least I keep telling myself that! lol). I hit a milestone birthday last month so I'm in EXTREME denial and plan to stay that way :) Bettie - what a real cutie! Even the two daughters :) Beth >> >>Michael and Vivian Saffold wrote: >> >>>Hello, everyone, >>> >>>I have had several requests, both privately and expressed to this list, >>>for a separate mailing list for "chat." >>> >>>Many of us endured terrible experiences with a two-list system >>>administered by the previous project.
