    2. When I worked in the dime store when I was in college, we used mills to collect the sales tax. They were round and gray and were dropped into a metal box attached to the side of the register. Each one equalled 1/10 of a cent. I don't remember what the tax rate was. Now we use pennies, in our county 7 on the dollar and the register keeps up with it.
