    1. FW: [GATROUP] The "New" Troup County Georgia GenWeb Site!
    2. Doris Robbins
    3. I do not like to brag, but I saw the following post on the Troup County Mailing List and wanted to share it with everyone. Today I was feeling very low. Had got so far behind with posting information to the web sites due to sickness, but when I got the note, it truly made my day. I couldn't do it alone, it is the great group of co-workers and the volunteers that make the web site what it is. I truly appreciate the opportunity to work with such a great group of people. Have already corresponded with TJ today and she is a great person. She has already sent me some photos for the web site and will be sending more. Genealogy at it best - sharing info with others. New people are in charge of the site, and they are doing one heck of a wonderful job with it! They have and are in the process of adding many different categories so that "we" Troup County researchers can "finally" add our own family research. 1. The "New" Troup County Georgia GenWeb Site!

    3. Bravo, Doris! I often feel guilty about not doing as many actual transcriptions as I think I should do, and have stacks and stacks of material that I *could* transcribe for my county sites if time permitted. However, I truly believe that the very least we can do for the researchers is keep the door open and the lights on. There's nothing more frustrating that an abandoned website of overgrown weeds (or broken links...you get the picture). I'm sure the Troup County researchers really appreciate knowing that you're there, minding the "library". In fact, in a small way, I am a Troup County researcher, and I'll be in touch! ;-) Pat S.
