Hi folks, Many USGenWebbers participate in IRC chat. A few of us are in GAGenWeb but I'd really like to see many more stop by now and then. Even if you can stop by for a few minutes every now and then we'd love to see you. Windows users can get a free IRC chat program called NetIRC here: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/NetIRC-Download-19701.html (1 MB) Mac users can get a free IRC chat program call ShadowIRC here: http://download.sourceforge.net/shadowirc/ShadowIRC-1.1.sit DIRECTIONS FOR NetIRC (Mac users can probably use these directions and find their way) Once installed and opened and box pops up: Nickname: type a name you wish to be known by Password: leave blank Server: irc.rootsweb.com Now press the arrow in the bottom-right of the box: Realname: type anything here. It doesn't have to be your real name Email: Same as real name. Doesn't have to be real. Auto-join channel: #gagenweb CLICK 'CONNECT' We hope to see many of you in IRC soon! --Keith
