Ed, I thought there was a time period of service before you could register to vote also - was thinking it was at least 30 days - but when I looked at the information last night, I realized there isn't a length of membership listed as a requirement for voting. There is one for eligibility for running for an office and maybe that's what we were both remembering! A CC must go register themselves to vote. I have to apologize to all the new CC's for not informing yall about this before now as now is too late for this year. I had really thought that one must have been a member for at least 3 months before they were able to vote but from all I have read to refresh my memory I cant find such a rule. Why I thought this I cant tell you. I went and double checked and the Registration site is closed until after the election. If you feel the need to be angry with anyone point your anger towards me. Again My Sincere Apology for my neglecting to inform you about this. I will go right now and add this information the the questions I send out to each new applicant in hopes that this wont happen again to any new CC's.
