Hi, everyone! I've had an inquiry about an ancestor from Georgia. Her records say that her ancestor was born in 1802, Liberty, Georgia. We have not been successful so far, and since it didn't specify Liberty COUNTY, I was wondering if anyone knows of a Liberty city, town, or community (past or present) within their county that may be where we need to search next. I found this to be the case in my own personal search for an ancestor - I assumed the listing on the old record meant the county instead of a community on the other side of the state! Hi, Venita, GNIS shows Liberty communities in Greene and Early counties. Greene was organized in 1786, Early in 1818.
