    1. [GAGEN] Credit for work
    2. Crilley
    3. As our counties continue to change hands, it would be a good thing to be sure that proper credit is given for work that has been done. Many times it is by an individual contributor and most of the time, I think these are documented. However, if the CC does the work, out of modesty he may not always state that on the page. Then when a new CC "assumes" the page, it is passed along, but the person who actually did it is sometimes lost. Sometimes even the "previous" CC's name is lost and forgotten. I've not been clear about the "copyright" which is recommended that we include on the pages. Should this copyright continue to say the original person on the page where he did the data? Or does the new CC place their name on all the pages? Virginia Crilley

And if I can size it to send to any of you so you can view the microfiche that way or will I need to just go and copy all of this to hard copy? Hope your all patient as that will take a bit of time. 3. Meant to mention if he was murdered on base it would make a difference about where the records would be. If it was procescuted by the military or civilian police. If on the base you would also/or need to contact the base provost martial? not sure that I am right on that but the head of military police on the base could point you in the right direction. 3. One suggestion is to contact the court clerk who handles the Criminal Court Files for that State, County and ask that a transcript of the trial be sent to you. Also check with the Coroners reports which may be filed in that county court. And ask for copies of any hearing regarding the trial. The newspapers in the area may have the information on microfilm which you can obtain a copy of that film from the believe it is the University of GA. Sorry but don't have the email address in front of me. If you know the date of the crime then you will know what film to order. The films are between $12.00 to $20.00. You can also if not mistaken can order a copy of the film to be sent to your local library on interlibrary loan if you do not want to purchase the film. Best wishes in finding the material, Gloria ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bosque Lover" <nana321@txucom.net> To: <GAGEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 22, 2003 1:04 PM Subject: [GAGEN] CCs--HELP > Howdy all, > I received this message below, & got permission to post here. > Can any of you CCs help or direct him to the proper place to search? > Bettie <>< > ------------------------ > Subject: Columbus H. 3. Because most all of us have mail lists and I think I read where you have 47. I posted it to give everyone a heads up on all their MSN subscribers like mine that bounced off the list last night and and this morning. I did not see you make a comment about the chit chat that prevails on this list but have noticed that you seem to have a problem with anything I post here. If you have a complaint about me you take it to Tim or email me privately.
