    1. [GAGEN] Georgia Masonic Lodge information
    2. Linda Barton
    3. In trying to further research a Masonic Lodge that disappeared out of Fayette County (moved to Coweta), I discovered in my own "library" a book that I did not even realize I had. It is titled "Masonic Biography and Dictionary" compiled by Augustus Row, K.T. and printed in 1868 by J. B. Lippincott & Co. of Philadelphia. It is mainly a dictionary and biography of well know freemasons but it includes the following lists - All Lodges in the United States (as of 1868), all Grand Chapters (as of 1868) and all Subordinate Encampments (1868). Some of the interesting information found in the dictionary/biography sections are histories of when the first freemasons were in certain areas or states, etc... If any of you would like for me to send all information from this source that is pertinent to your county (counties), please email me.....and be patient waiting for a reply. I will get to them all, it just may take awhile. {And yes, I know, I could just transcribe the whole book as it is 135 years old, but.....it is also 365 pages....so I doubt that is going to happen for a while!!!} Linda Blum-Barton

However, >> the EC shows a total of 64 votes, thus I must assume that the three >> disqualified and the compromised vote were removed from the figures >> prior to tabulation. But in the end 73 is not 64, or even 68. Somewhere along the lines a few ballots are missed in being reported, or there has been some data given in error. Although it will not change the vote, for the integrity of any election or vote, all ballots must be accounted for. Can we please find out where the problem is in the totals. 3. Kemis, I am with you - some of these people would beat a dead animal. Seems like by now it should be dead. Unfortunately this is the list you must be subscribed to. It used to be peaceful most of the time now it is just rehash after rehash of who said what and no one ever deletes the trail of messages that is 40 or 50 emails long. Bill

    2. Kemis Massey
    3. People, Please let it go or tell me where the real list for GA Gen CC's is? You know the one where we share stuff instead of jumping on every word that anyone who isn't of your opinion writes. I work a full time job, have a part time business and do genealogy to the best of my ability. I will share whatever I have with anyone. I resent that my precious time that I could be doing real work, is spent reading these gripping emails. Will the person in charge, please do their job and put a stop to this? One more question, do I as a CC HAVE to subscribe to this list or is there a real list that have the things I need to know on it? kemis

    3. It's gotten so ridiculous that yes--those of us that sit quietly biting our tongues are now getting annoyed enough to open our mouths... I'm with Joy--and I AM one of those who wants to say "show's over--back to work". And what nerve some of you have to rip apart Joy's comment and drag her down with you...? She is correct: there are some of us out here--no matter how few--that simply want to get on with the business at hand rather than deleting tens of e-mails daily fraught with more negativity among what should be bretheren than you can see on prime-time television. For myself, she hit the nail on the head: I've been here for a few months and am ready to walk. EVERY E-MAIL IS FULL OF NITPICKING ABOUT WHAT "MUST" HAVE BEEN INTENDED--AND IT'S NEVER GOOD. Then we have the responses trying to clarify and correct. ENOUGH ALREADY. Agree to disagree, deal with it directly or move on already. Or, like has been suggested SEVERAL TIMES... take it to GALINA. --Another who is likely to be thrown out, Heather (White Co.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol C-H" <cch@netdoor.com> To: <GAGEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2003 2:27 PM Subject: Re: [GAGEN] The view from the outside > In your opinion, it was a negative comment - in my opinion, it was not. > > This list has seen plenty of negative comments lately - but that was not > one of them, IMHO. > > Carol > > At 01:14 PM 4/23/2003, Gloria Holback wrote: > >Nor did I say: the 35 would use their feet...Joy Fisher made that > >statement ....I stated it was a negative comment....and should not have > >been included in her otherwise insightful message. Carol, Donna, I am quite happy that the ruckus if over with and Tim is the SC and we have the leadership also with Richard Petty's as the Chair person of the Guidelines and CCs Bill of Rights Committees.
