    1. [GAGEN] Echols County and Guidelines
    2. mannannan
    3. Good Evening. It is with sadness that I announce that our Echols County, Georgia CC, Derek Nichols, has resigned from the Project. Derek has only been with us a short time and I, for one, will miss him. I wish him the best of luck in all he chooses to do. Because he is no longer a CC in Georgia, he is no longer eligible to serve on the Guidelines Revision Committee. Therefore, Jacki Jonas, the secretary, will be serving as a full member of the Committee. For the time being, she will also serve as the secretary. If anyone is interested in the post, please email me privately, off-list. Thanks, Richard

I resign from GaGenWeb effective immediately. Clayton & Habersham are now part of AHGP and no longer affiliated with GaGenWeb. Please remove me from the mail list immediately. I no longer wish to particiate in a project that has become so tarnished with the current leadership (Tim, Margie, and Brenda) as well as others like Gloria. I was raised to be a better person than these people are and no longer wish to be associated with any of them. It saddens me to be leaving the rest of you but I'll still be around working very hard with my AHGP counties. I will greatly miss the rest of you. Keep in touch... 3. Thank you Tim - yes leads as in request for data. I live in Sydney Australia, although I am a 7th generation descendant of the settlers and pioneers of Central West Georgia, primarily Houston, Bibb, Jones, Crawford, Peach, Dooley counties. It would be great if we cross pollinate, each others web pages, as I have information on families in counties other than Houston. I am sure others have family information for me to put on the Houston County Webpage and I would like to see if I could look for information on my families in other counties. I look forward to receiving your Houston County information, when you feel better. Lots of list managers on this list, that might want to pass it along to their lists. Few of us had ancestors who were only in ONE county, wouldn't it be so much easier to track them if they had stayed put? Well, knowing mine, they would've burnt the courthouse and covered all their trails even then. <G> Don't know enough yet about my ancestors who were probably in Gwinnett Co, to contribute to a book tho. Matter of fact, it might be a nice page to have on a county site, a listing of Georgia counties with history books in the works, or already completed? Sharon
