    3. Can you please post the link to the guidelines page again. I have them printed somewhere, but I'm getting senile and can't remember where I filed them. 3. By now you've seen Jimmy's resignation from GAGenWeb. I did not ask for his resignation, nor did I pressure him in any way to give up his counties. It was his decision to resign. He has graciously allowed the site to go to the next CC along with the photo ID of the CCs effort. He also subsequently resigned his post on the Advisory Board. I've written him privately that he would remain subbed to this list for a short time so that if any of you wish to express to him regarding this you may do so. I now publically thank him for his service in and for GAGenWeb and wish him well in his future endeavors. Tim

    3. I realize that we are all holding our breaths and wanting to see the current situation resolved. However I also realize that we need to do all that we can to see that these situations must not occur again. We are wanting to revamp the guidelines to better protect the cc's in this project and while we are waiting for the outcome of current charges we need to be thinking about the good of this project. I am representing the South Central Region and would love to hear from the cc's in that area on what changes they feel should be made in this project and what rights should we as "cc's" have. Please if you have one of the following counties, let me hear some of your ideas! I hope everyone enjoyed the earthquake. We'll try to let y'all know about the next one in advance. Having lived in sunny Southern California, I had experienced earthquakes before. I was awakened yesterday by the quake and actually yelled "earthquake!" Katie popped me in the head and told me to take my earthquake back to bed. Seriously, I want to announce that Thomas Hammack has volunteered to serve as the Secretary of the Guidelines Revision Committee. He is the CC of Wilkes County and one other county that escapes me at the moment. Please send him your condolences, errrr, congratulations! We are trying to work on two items right now. The first is fairly straightforward, as it is an effort to bring the guidelines into compliance with the National Bylaws. The second item is a CC's Bill of Rights. The Committee Members report that they have sent emails to you guys asking for help and information in the form of suggestions of what you think needs to be included, and the response has been scant. I know we have been through alot in recent months, and I know that there is more going on, and that this is in addition to our genealogical work and our lives, but if you could give an extra few minutes to hit the reply button and send a suggestion or 20 back, it would certainly give us an idea of where you want us to go with this CC's bill of rights. 3. Hello All, I am first apologizing for being remiss in my duties. I have not been online since last Tuesday due to some personal problems concerning our daughter. Thankfully the situation is being resolved. And I did not "pop" him in the head when he told me about the earthquake, I actually slept through it. But I digress. As you know I am responsible for communicating with the CC's in the Coastal Region, I have the list below. I am asking for your suggestions concerning the Guidelines. By working together we can get this done, and get back to the job at hand, Genelogy. :-) Please send you suggestions, questions or comments to me at Brighid@Maclyr.com as soon as possible. 3. Richard, You said - "Before we have any further discussion of the recent round of accusations, I would like for the accused to have the opportunity to make their statements and then we can decide how exactly to proceed. I take these allegations very seriously and I share in the concerns that have been expressed to me privately and those set forth on the list. However, part of being above-board and even-handed requires that we hear (read!) both sides." I believe these accusations should be addressed by all before any further work is done by the guidelines committee. I was just contacted by the contact person for my region for my ideas/suggestions and I believe that the guidelines "project" can not and should not move forward until the present issues are resolved. For the duration of this appointment, I can assure you that *NO ONE* will be placed on a moderated status because of their opinions or because what they have to say differs from the positions taken by those in a position to moderate. Of course, the regular rules of decorum (including not flaming and the prohibition of the use of vulgar language) must be followed. But, please rest assured that you will NOT be placed on a moderated status because *I* disagree with your opinions (of course, if you say I am ugly and my wife dresses me funny, well, then, you might find yourself moderated without regard to the fact that you have stated a truth that I agree with <maniacal grin>).
