Yes I received the email about the evaluation of your Wheeler County. I will get that taken care of as soon as I can. I am having trouble with my back and neck since I was in an accident in Aug 2994. I haven't heard from Donald Clark. He doesn't have another email that I know of. I sent him an email that I have on file and haven't heard anything as of yet. I came across a file on the State of Georgia Archives web page that is a copy of a booklet issued in 1966 by the Secretary of State office listing all the American Revolutionary Veterans who participated in the 1820(Third), 1827(Fifth) and 1832(Sixth) Land Lotteries. I do not believe the other land lottery list indicated these veterans. I have posted the transcription on the Carroll County GAGenWeb page at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacarro2/index.htm/ - Am. Revolution. If your county participated in any of these lotteries please feel free to link to the Carroll County page. Pike, Lamar, Butts, Spalding, Bibb and Upson county coordinators might be interested in the file I have on the Monroe County page listing the Monroe County lottery drawers in 1820 (Third). First I have retrieved only those with draws in Monroe County; secondly, I have added a column(s) showing which lots and districts were later moved to another county such as Pike, Lamar, Butts, Spalding, Bibb and Upson, and then from Pike to another county. Hopefully, I will eventually have a map to posted showing the locations of each lot in the original Monroe County and those moving to other counties. The Monroe County page is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gamonroe/ - 1821 Land Lottery. Hope this is of interest to you folks. ( I originally sent this at 2:21 PM but never received a copy back so I assume it got lost) Liz Robertson Coordinator Haralson, Carroll and Monroe Counties
Butts and Troup Counties are here, just barely. Having some computer problems, plus bad weather problems. Hope we do NOT get the freezing rain they have predicted for Saturday. The high winds last Saturday knocked down some lines and was without power for about 12 hours. Doris Robbins
