    1. Re: [GAGEN] BIZ Catoosa and Wheeler MIAs
    2. Pat Sabin
    3. Not I. However, I did visit the Wheeler County GAGenWeb site and got "captured" by Angel Fire. I block pop-up ads, but I couldn't even exit the site without getting off the Internet altogether. One of the *many* problems with Angel Fire is that there's no way (at least that I've figured out) to get a site down if it does get abandoned. I have a town site in New London Co CTGenWeb that was given up by the town coordinator, and I guess it will float around in Cyber Space forever. I can't find her to get the password. Occasionally, I get angry messages about the pop up ads, and just explain that, in spite of appearances, it's a defunct site. Looks like both these county sites are, too, but I hope you find a live body! Pat S. 3. Since I have been asked this question several times, I thought a bit of clarification was in order. The current USGenWeb poll concerns project logos. You can vote between now and March 9. I urge you to express your opinion on this matter. Vivian

    3. Hi folks, Many USGenWebbers participate in IRC chat. A few of us are in GAGenWeb but I'd really like to see many more stop by now and then. Even if you can stop by for a few minutes every now and then we'd love to see you. Windows users can get a free IRC chat program called NetIRC here: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/NetIRC-Download-19701.html (1 MB) Mac users can get a free IRC chat program call ShadowIRC here: http://download.sourceforge.net/shadowirc/ShadowIRC-1.1.sit DIRECTIONS FOR NetIRC (Mac users can probably use these directions and find their way) Once installed and opened and box pops up: Nickname: type a name you wish to be known by Password: leave blank Server: irc.rootsweb.com Now press the arrow in the bottom-right of the box: Realname: type anything here. It doesn't have to be your real name Email: Same as real name. Doesn't have to be real. Auto-join channel: #gagenweb CLICK 'CONNECT' We hope to see many of you in IRC soon! --Keith
