Have you seen the form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ The mailing lists that can receive these files are at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/lists.html If you haven't used this esource, you are missing a good thing. Debra, I put the two emails [email protected] [email protected] on the accept list for GAFORSYT and GADAWSON some time ago. Could you update the page? Donna P. S. Good evening, everyone. The Bylaws Committee has completed preliminary work on Articles 3 and 4 (Membership and Officers, respectively). Both articles refer to Policies and Procedures. The current proposals may be seen at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/bylaws/proposals.html, or on the Bylaws Message Board (http://www.thegaproject.org/discuss.htm). We are *very* interested in your thoughts concerning these articles. I've created topics on the message board for discussing each of these, and the Policies and Procedures topic has a separate thread for each section of the policies. Please post comments and suggestions to the message boards -- that will ease traffic on this list as well as simplify it for the committee to include your comments in subsequent drafts. You must register for the message board in order to post a reply there, but registration is easy -- just email me and ask to be registered. I'll send you a user name and password. For people who are already registered but don't remember their password: I don't have the original passwords that were issued, but I can reset passwords. Just let me know. If you prefer to post anonymously, send your comments to me and I'll post them under the user name Anonymous. Just a reminder -- these are proposals, and are not final. We'd like your comments and suggestions by Friday, April 1. Thanks, Jacki Bylaws Chair Bylaws Committee Page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/bylaws/
Harry Folsom has adopted Brooks and Thomas counties. He currently has Lanier and Lowndes. Lanier will go up for adoption, although Harry will continue to caretake it. Vivian

I often feel guilty about not doing as many actual transcriptions as I think I should do, and have stacks and stacks of material that I *could* transcribe for my county sites if time permitted.
