Hi: I just sent for a copy of a death cert and there is one fee of $10.00. It can not be a personal check as they will not take them. I went to a drug store and got a money order. I then sent for it in Feb. and got it just this week. It was a certified copy which is what you want as a documented source of information, especially if this is a direct ancestor. There is no mention of Xeroxing on their Webster. I suppose you could go there and see if you can copy it yourself, but as I live in Michigan that was out of the question. $10 wasn't too much to pay at today's prices. Back in the 70s they were going for $2 or $3. Mary Anne
