Yes, to both Harris and Hogue. Harris is downtown. Starts at Centenial Olympic Park--use to be around the Luckie Street area and extended to Bedford Place on my 1934 city map. Hogue Street is in the Sweet Auburn, MLK Historic District. It is near Old Wheat Street. Ann in Atlanta
Dear Ann, I have alwayse been interested in a story that my grandfather told about his life in Atlanta, Ga. He said he was standing on the front poarch of his home at "5 points" when the invading army entered Atlanta. He said that the family was afraid and left for the hills where they stayed in a cave. He remembers meeting some Yanksees outside the cave. They offered him some candy. When he told his parents where he got the candy he was spanked!! My question to you is where is "5 points"? Not a very important question but one that I have been curious about. Thanks, Lillian ----- Original Message ----- From: <AnnBoutwel@aol.com> To: <GAFULTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2001 4:27 PM Subject: Re: [GAFULTON] Streets > Yes, to both Harris and Hogue.
