Hi List, I'm again making a shout out for info and descendants of my Afri-American ggf: Lafayette Davie/Davis,born abt.1860. Also known as Fayette and Fate. Lived in Rome and Atlanta,Ga. Married 3 times that I know of: 1. Minnie King 2. Lovie Kilgo 3. Lucinda Lee He was the father of 18 children. The names that I know so far (NOT IN ORDER): Rosa Lee (my g-mom) Mable Mack Marie John James Vincent Thomas Mary Martha Fate Jr. Georgia Warren Mable married Godfrey (Geoffrey) Parker Marie married a Berry Fate Jr. (may have) married Ruth Echols Lafayette died in Rome,Ga. on June 26,1938 at age 79. He is said to have owned a large amount of land in Atlanta. Rosa Lee had 2 children, Carrie Mae (my mom), and Clyde Wm. Buford. Someone,somewhere must reconize at least ONE of the above names.
